Is travelling to Gdansk expensive?

The easiest and quickest way to get to Gdańsk is the plane. Gdansk Lech Walesa airport is connected with more than 50 cities, including numerous cities in Scandinavia, Germany and the United Kingdom, among others. Flights to Poland are in competitive prices, as most of them are offered by cheap companies, such as Wizz Air and RyanAir. You can buy tickets to and from Gdańsk for even 10 EUR. A wonderful Polish city of Gdańsk is located in the central-northern part of the country, by the Baltic Sea. The city is world-famous for its history of freedom. This is the place where the Second World War started. Solidarność, the first Independent Trade Union, was born here. Additionally, the thousand-year-old city is well known for its historical architecture which was almost completely rebuilt after the war.

Apart from its rich history, Gdańsk is a common choice for shopping tourism. Many shopping centers and little shops are waiting for both Polish and international customers. Kasia Klimek is a graduate of Scandinavian Studies on the University of Gdańsk, as well as Rønde Højskole in Denmark. Additionally, she completed the postgrad studies in the field of Management of Tourism and Hospitality, on the Maritime Academy in Gdynia. She started her professional career in Gdańsk Tourism Organization, where she worked as tourist information assistant and had constant contact with foreign tourists in the city of Gdańsk. At the moment, apart from working in Velcure, she works at a global company, where she is responsible for contact with Danish customers.

Marta Łuczyńska is a graduate of Scandinavian Studies on the University of Gdańsk, as well as Grundtvigs Højskole in Hillerød, Denmark. While she was still studying at the university, she started to work for a danish company with a service center in Gdańsk. For five years she was responsible for contact with customers and taking care of their finances. Lately she’s been engaged in project management, as well as the coordination of knowledge transfer processes from European countries to Poland.
